Reflect on a time when you discovered a new perspective that completely changed how you viewed a person, group, or place. How did your previous “single story” shape your thoughts or actions?

Prompt Response: I once had a challenging situation with an individual that I had a very good bond with. Grew up very close but there were bumps along the road that made me realize that our mindset was completely different. This made me view this person completely different, I started to add up the little things they did or said and it made me realize that it was going to take somebody else to understand where they were coming from or their sense of knowledge because I would try and try over and over to understand them and every single time I would, this individual would get upset with me for not understand and not trying to give up on understanding. Now I tend to view people before deciding if I want to be friends with them or not, because I don't have to lose a huge amount of my time knowing that the bond won't work out at the end.

Summary: September 16, 2025, Assignment was on commonlit.

Reflection: I strive to be the best that I can be everyday in any way, to reach my goals and to become who I strive to be. To achieve my long term goals and live in my terms of peace.
