Prompt: As we approach the end of the course, reflect on the texts, discussions, and concepts explored in Multicultural Literature. What is one significant lesson about culture or identity that has stood out to you? Explain why this lesson is meaningful and analyze how it connects to your own experiences or perspective.

Prompt Response:  The one significant lesson that stood out to me the most is this most recent one about cultural stereotypes. This lesson is very meaningful to me in so many ways including my very own personal experiences that I have encountered growing up. I think it is very important for parents to not mislead their children and for the people around them into thinking that other people from different cultures are dangerous or something you need to be cautious about. My parents understand and speak English to an extent and dress completely different as well and growing up I feared that someday my father would get into some physical altercation is his skin color the way he dressed, the way his indigenous looks stood out and the language he grew up speaking. I've had a few encounters like these with both my parents and I love them dearly and fear that anything will ever happen to them. I have also experienced this with strangers in public, it is completely heartbreaking but...

Prompt: How important is education in your life right now? Do you think students around the world value school the same way you do? Explain your reasoning.

Prompt Response:  Education to me at the moment is highly important, i will be the first gen in my family to graduate. I really hope i can get to build a very stable future for myself while pursuing my career. some people around the world don't even have the privilege to pursue education, well the ones that do make something of it or they end up doing something totally different and that is their choice in life. i feel like everybody should have the privilege to have an education, and some of those people that didn't have the privilege are some of the people that I grew up loving which are my parents and for them, education is everything for me because I want be able to give them the things that they have never gotten in life Summary: April 30, 2026, Had a good ODD block day.  Reflection:   I strive to be the best that i can be each and everyday for my own mental health and for the people around me. So that i can get the better version of me each day and so can the...

Prompt: After viewing your classmates’ presentations, which cultural group did you find most interesting? Explain why. Then, reflect on how this presentation changed or deepened your understanding of that culture.

Prompt Response:  unfortunately I came in late during this class, and within the presentations that were presented while I was there the only interesting one i found most interesting was my own groups. Everyone else's was perfectly good but i felt like my group put in a lot of effort and more details than the other groups did. always known that cultural stereotypes we're always a thing i'm going up it affected me a lot within my own personal experiences. we're learning from my own presentation when building it and presenting it was that for Italian Americans the one main thing that stereotypes them will always be the mafia. unlike other cultures there are plenty of things that stereotype their race but from what I picked up it felt like Italian Americans were viewed as people that will always be tied to the mob or gangsters. cultural stereo types are not correct at all, it is very important to understand ones soul and ones culture from where they come from and how the...

Prompt: Which factor plays a greater role in shaping your future career choice: your genuine interest and passion for the field, or the financial benefits and stability it can provide? In your response, explain which one you prioritize and why, and consider how this decision might impact your long-term happiness, motivation, and overall quality of life.

Prompt Response:  I personally think that the greater role that plays in shaping my future would be the stability and benefits that a career provides. i come from a family that works very hard and even if their job isn't their interest or passion they do it just to provide for my family and I. Overtime I have also developed this exact same mindset, i am willing to reach for a career that I know I can reach for, and even if it isn't my passion or entrance in life I am willing to do whatever it takes just to gather the best benefits from this career so I can also provide for my family. although why do you think it is important to follow your passion and interests, i do also believe that over time some passion and interests do end up changing and that may be something a person will end up struggling with at the end within not knowing what to do.  Summary: April 27, 2026, Had a great on this ODD block day.  Reflection:  I strive to be the best that I can be everyd...
