Prompt: Food is often tied to memory and emotion. Describe a meaningful memory connected to a meal or dish. Analyze how that experience shaped your understanding of family, culture, or belonging.

Prompt Response: i recall the first time I've ever tried tamales, feeling the taste of these filled up my taste buds with excitement, i absolutely love Tamales they are the best thing i have in my cultural. I'm both Mexican and Guatemalan so on each side there are different types of Tamales, But nothing can compare to the green tamales with chicken (Tamales Verdes de pollo) from the Mexican side of my family. The Green sauce isn't spicy but it's to a point where you'll realize that it is sort of spicy but it just doesn't affect me as much. perhaps I'm very used to spice but it gave me a good understanding of what my culture is, we like to express food with spice and anything nice. Like if I eat a taco I cannot eat it without hot sauce it has shaped me to who I am today and how I love to eat my food. eating too much sweet gets boring to me at some point that I just need to have something spicy in my stomach.
