How does your hair connect to your culture or your identity? Describe a moment when your hair made you feel proud, uncomfortable, or misunderstood, and explain why.
Prompt Response: In my culture long dark black hair is an expectation or a beauty standard. Curls are adored but I think that people tend to like straight hair makes you look more elegant if you know how to wear it. My natural hair is curly not straight. My hair Is currently damaged so I tend to straighten it a lot. As of now I do have mix feelings about my hair since I do tend to miss my curly hair, in my culture it, curly hair makes you seem more younger, but having my dark black straight hair also makes me feel very good about myself. I no longer have my hair long so at times I do feel like I slightly struggle to keep myself feeling good about my hair.
Summary: In class we had to complete our blogger first and share a few of our responses, then afterwards we do our assignment for the day.
Reflection: I strive to be the best that I can be everyday in any way possible for the better good of my mental, physical, and emotional health, and so that the people around me can also get the very best of me.
